Sepia Pyrenees Walking Stick With Beechwood Shaft and Brass Collar
The beige colored scrimshaw carved handle features an extremely detailed Pyrenees mountain dog. The regal appearance of this cane makes it no surprise that this breed of dogs served as the official dog of the French court. This hand carved masterpiece will be a gorgeous addition to any collection. The walnut stained beechwood shaft is adorned with a double brass ring collar.Since 1825 Comoy's of London has offered some of the most unique walking sticks and canes in the world. In 1999 Comoy's of London stopped producing collectable canes and walking sticks. Fashionablecanes.com recently acquired Comoy's last known batch of collectable walking sticks and canes. Due to the collectability of Comoy's product line and our limited small remaining supply many of these items will be sure to increase in value over time.
These items are collector's walking sticks and are not intended for orthopedic use. Many of Comoy's collectable walking sticks are not designed with a comfortable hand grip. The handles may be damaged when not properly cared for. We recommend using a table holder and wrist strap to help in preventing drops and falls.
- This cane is designed for users up to 180lbs.

Choose 1 of 3 easy ways to determine cane length.
- Measure the size of an existing cane.
Do this method by simply measuring from the lowest part on the top of the handle to the bottom of the rubber tip. Round up to the nearest half inch. (see Diagram Above) - Measure the cane user
- Put on the user's walking shoes.
- Have the user stand naturally upright as much as possible.
- Have their arms fall to the sides naturally with a normal relaxed bend at the elbow. (Please see Diagram Above for correct posture)
- Using a tape measure or yard stick, measure the distance from their wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) down to the floor. Round up to the nearest half inch.
(**For accurate length a second person must read measurement to prevent wrist from moving)
- Measure half the height in inches. (Only use if Step 1 or 2 are not available as options)
(Although this works for most cane users it is not always exact. Choose this option at your
own risk a 30% restocking fee applies to all returned cut canes)
Most users cane measurements will be within one inch of half the users height.- Convert height into inches...(example 66 Inches) then divide in half = 33 inches.
(round up to the nearest half inch.) - Then add half an inch to this height.
- After receiving product use step #2 to confirm and change size if needed.
- Convert height into inches...(example 66 Inches) then divide in half = 33 inches.
The Estimated height would be 33.5 inches for this example.
