The shafts are made from the finest and strongest Maple woods available and are treated with a semi-gloss water-resistant finish. They can also be upgraded to having the shaft come in pure Ebony wood. All the shafts are kiln-cured for strength and durability and are also assembled with threaded steel studs to ensure many years of use. Compared to poorly manufactured canes, these canes are more resistant to splintering or cracking which ensures a superior product.
